Is there any way to make an imported object (i.e. logo) transparent behind, so that I can add it to a color block?? It sounds so simple, but I can't make it happen!!!! I have PM7 and AI8.
I have never found that the AI files that I place in PageMaker have opaque backgrounds. Unless they have a raster image in them. If they do it is because there is a white background layer included in the file, this can be deleted in Illustrator.
They do not however print out very well on my inkjet printer because of the low quality of the placeholder.
I usually place high resolution Tif or EPS files with clipping paths for printing from my printer and then replace them when I send the job out.
Except today for some reason I can not get the clipped files to appear transparent today, I haven’t had this problem before and I don’t seem to be able to find the cause.
The white background on an EPS is just an artifact that PM sometimes displays and will NOT print out when printed to a PS printer. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.

It does. Open the Control Palette (Window -> Show Control Palette). Select yur graphic with the ointer tool, then centre of rotation on the Control palatte, and then enter 0.01 in the rotate field (top right) and press the Apply Button.
