Making a share available across the internet

Good day,

We would like to send files to another computer across the internet.

Let's suppose the remote computer with an outside IP of 66.219.22.12 made a share available:

http://www.my_fictional_website.com/shared_folder

Would we simply be able to connect to this computer and transfer files across the internet by typing (in 'Run'):

\\66.219.22.12\shared_folder

It depends on firewall. Do you have a firewall? and if so you have to open file sharing port on it..This is not recommended AT ALL.
