Hi out there,

I am woundering if it's posible to make a cube with an IQD that contains NULL values?

I have made a Query in Impromtu where i have tree coloumns containing data and NULL values piced out with an if else statement (have also tryed change NULL with 0 whitout any help).

When I try to build the cube with this query it stops.

Anyone with a tip of how i can solve this an elegant way?

I did manage to make the cube by adding an astronomic small value in the "else statement"

kind regard Stig

Hi stigejg,
I believe the should be no problem creating cubes from iqd files containing null fields.
To be able to assist you in any way, I need you to give detail of the problem ie the error message if any, the data source type and field definition (including from data source to Imp report...
I suspect that the columns with null values had been defined as 'number', if so, try to define them as 'general' instead....
I can't promise u that I can solve this problem but I can give it a try....

Hi,
We faced similar problem in our project. To get column with null values successfully, first create a variable data item "temp" in data query box as other report fields.value for this is "if fieldname<>null then fieldname else 0" or "if fieldname<>null then fieldname".Give this variable as data source of your actual field. This worked for us.

But now I dont have software thats why I could not give exact code.try this.
