Hi All,
I want to make a particular folder inacessible(i.e, set a password if possible) so that no one can open it.

thanks
arvind

Create the folder, right click and take Properties. Select the Security tab. Make sure that only you (your logon) is in the list of people who can access the folder. New Zealand, a great place to live.

hello arvind

you also can use efs (encrypted file system) to protect your files.
rightclick on the folder and choose properties, general, advanced.
now you can choose the option to encrypt your folder. everything you put in this folder can only be used with your user.

you need ntfs for this option.
