Hi Guys,

I'm new in posting in the forum but it has been pretty useful, since I started working with IPO.

I have a problem with a location where we replace an old Norstar with an IPO, the users have the ability to call from outside and using a code so they can get access to a line, then they make a call using the Norstar Lines.

Is there a way to make that works in the IPO?

there are so many locations all over Mexico (where there's no PBX or Panasonic) so they need to make calls in Mexico City using the Mexico City lines (The IPO)

thanks in advace for your help...

Alfredo

When you have VMPro then this is easy to build.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

thanks tlpeter

we have VMPro, do you know where i can get info regarding this option?

Route a free DDI to VM:modulename (name of the module and must match exactly)
Then make a menu action with a $ (make a new key) and put in a pincode on the first tab.
Then make a transfer option with $KEY as destination.
Record greetings as you like for each action.

thanks tlpeter...

I see I sent to IPO the sequence, then it hang me up...

i am checking this config in my IPO and we have analog lines, is there something that's preventing it works on analog lines?

a word of advice, don't do this on analogue lines unless you have very good disconnect supervision in place, also make sure you have selected allow trunk to trunk connect in the line settings :)

Hi,

I know, here in Mexico having E1 or SIP is expensive (like 3 or 4 times the price of analog).

The final solution is running on E1 (R2 MFC) I was just testing in another IPO.

I'm still getting TARGET: not in dial plan and keeps dropping the call do you have any idea?

thanks!!!

Do you use a prefix to call outside?

Yes I do,

it's the 9 before the dialed number, but it seems like it does not recognize it

224639895mS CMTARGET: 13.2.1 1228 Alog Trunk:13: ADD TARGET (N): number=95522726734 type=100 depth=1 nobar=1 setorig=1 ses=0
224639896mS CMTARGET: 13.2.1 1228 Alog Trunk:13: TARGET: Not in dial plan

Do you use user 9N shortcodes? As VM Pro matches against system shortcodes so if a shortcode isn't present to match 95522726734 or nothing in ARS to match then that would explain it :)

It looks like it is not routed to the trunk.
Can you post the complete trace?

If you are on 8.x then just setup DIDs to use the FNE services of One-X Lite. Then make sure you put the cell phone or whatever number you are calling from into the user's twinning info (with the leading 9). Then either setup the One-X Lite app or just add the DID you used to your contacts. I had to do this for a client that had Blackberries but wanted One-X Lite functionality. Worked like a charm. Once you dial the correct DID, the system gives you a dial tone just as if you picked up a desk phone. You can then dial extensions or dial 9 and your number to get out. This is a secure method since it uses caller ID to authenticate that you should be allowed to connect to the DID FNE service. If you try this from a number that is not set as a twinned number, the system will not let you in.

Otherwise, you can setup a call flow in VMPro and PIN protect it.

Hi guys,

It works now, the problem was the analog lines and the 9N shortcode, we have user shortcodes, so we create a new system shortcode.

This solution does not work with analog lines :(

Thanks to all for your help.!!![thumbsup]

It does work with analog lines, I have done that in Turkey were in most places digital lines are not available.
You must have in ipo:
turned on the option Allow Analog Trunk to Trunk Connect on the analog lines
have a system shortcode like *99N;,N,Dial,Line ID
a incoming line to VM pro module with
- a PIN check then
- a menu with only a $ as an option
- a transfer action targetting to *99$KEY

A simple mind delivers great solutions
