I have a small trader desk situation, where they want Privacy Release to be the default, so others can jump on a call without the initial called party having to do anything. Got this working by changing the COS for Privacy Release = Yes.
But they also want the ability for a called party to make a call private. So that others cannot jump on the call. Ideally when a call has been established, a soft key for "Privacy" would appear.
I saw an old thread from 2008 on this topic: "If Privacy "on" is the default, then a privacy release toggle button can be on the Turret. If privacy "off" is the default (common in a trading environment), then it cannot be turned off (i.e. no toggle button to turn it "on"). This is a Mitel oddity. NOTE: There is a Flash demo of the Turret floating around somewhere that shows a privacy enable button, but this is likely incorrect."
This was in reference to 5560, we are using 5340 if that is significant.
Just wondering if anyone has a suggestion on how to deliver the user experience that is requested?
Thanks, John
