Hi

We have a W2K network with AD Group policies that enable redirection of the "My Documents"-folder to a networkshare. On a Win XP pro client this redirected My Documents are automatically made available offline. Is there a way to disable this, because our central documents share is way to big to synchronise with a client. When I rightclick on the My Documents Icon the option "make available offline" is checked but is gray, so it's not possible to change it.

Thx in advance for the info,

Stoffel

We have a similar setup at our company, but I created a separate group policy disabling offline file use and applied it to a group composed of users where offline files wasn't needed. Stopped policy inheritance from the main domain policy as well.

That isn't a solution for us. The user works on a notebook and realy needs offline files, but not the availability of our entire documentshare (wich is way to big for the HDD). The solution will be quit simple for me: disabling the redirection of the my documents-folder and creating a hyperlink to the central documentshare in the my documents of her profile.
