Could someone help me with a bit of code that will only
allow my MS Word macro to run 5 times before requiring a
registration number.

I was thinking of maybe a window poping up saying this if
the 3rd time it has been used would they like to register?
or something like that. And then don't let it work without
a registration number

Once they have a registration number this box wouldn't
show up and the Macro will just run.

Is this something someone could help me with?

many thanks
Richi

I'll second that - some nice tips n tricks guys - cheers Rgds

Hi Mike,

Just got home and started to play around with the code.

I am getting a "compile error" message when I try to run the register Macro. I copied all the code you have given me and pasted it over the old "register" Macro

Any ideas?

Richi

It doesn't tell me that.

It only tells me that there is an error in Module1 when I run the register Macro.

When I press help it say that the document is protected and I need to unprotect it to view the error, but i haven't protected it

I managed to fix it!!!

It was missing

Dim nRet As String

It works really well.
Thanks a lot!

I will play around with it a bit and let you know if I have any questions
