Make Field Grow Horizontally based on Data?

I need to print work orders for my job.

I would like to be able to have certian fields appear highlighted on the form. (Light color backgrounds)

Currently the only way I can get it done is make the field one line on the report. The size of the data in the field can vary greatly from One word to an entire sentance.

Whenever it is a one word field it seems like a big waste of ink to highlight the whole line.

Is there any way to make the field grow horizontally based on the length of text in it??

Looks like what I need, but I am not sure how to impliment it into my database. :-(

If I import the module, how do I call on it from my form?
