In terms of "Date Grammar", an all-1s date won't happen again for about a thousand years. And I don't think any of us will be here for that. So make 11/11/11 @ 11:11:11 interesting.

...Then tell us here how you spent it. (I congratulate the lucky guy that gets married tomorrow...he'll never have an excuse to forget his anniversary.)

A hundred? Why not sooner, a little more than 10 years from now, and at night? Say, on 2/22/22 @ 22:22:22 (well, 22/2/22 for everyone outside USA).

But not for the (majority?) of countries that use the ISO date & time format, where the date component would be the (somewhat less-striking) value 2022-02-22.

If you talk ISO format, then 11/11/11 @ 11:11:11 won't look as striking as well - 2011-11-11 is not as 'pretty' as 11/11/11. And, of course, any 11/11/11 is 'better looking' then any other combination, as there is a month with number 11, but there are no months 22, 33, etc. (But at least year 2222 is coming relatively soon - in less than 111 years, not so for any other combination.)

Still, how many countries actually use ISO format for everyday dating of letters, notes, documents, etc., and not only for programming purposes and the most official papers?

Well, we all missed the boat on the prettiest of all... 1111/11/11 @ 11:11:11... And it's a looooong wait til we get "all ones" again

You know what, it's OK with me. While today's (or recent) date not as pretty as 1111, I really prefer living in 2011 to 1111. I don't know why (;-)), I just have a feeling it's better.
