NEED OF URGENT ADVICE!!!

History: We have multi-site AVAYA IP Office with single VM Server. We started having issues with manager not being able to reach a module. AVAYA Partner recommends upgrading equipment.

Post upgrade and move of VMPro to virtual server the system will intermittently not recognize DTMF tones at all passed form spoke sites to hub.

We have replaced processors, cards and upgraded software. The downgraded software according to AVAYA. Still no luck.

Any help would be great! or at least some direction as to what could cause this.

As a side note we did packet capture on the IP Office Module esending the DTMF tones and ran it through a DTMF tone analyzer and it did not find any. Sent this on to AVAYA support over a month ago without any resolution back from them. AVAYA recommended to partner to upgrade software, and when that did not work they recommended a downgrade of 2 version. We have yet to have any confidence that anyone related to AVAYA can get this resolved!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is e new maint release for 8.1 solving this problem.

A simple mind delivers great solutions

seeing that the release came out on March 22 the question is if you upgraded to that release and the problem persists or if you used the old 8.1.65 or even if you are actually on 8.1 as that is something I cannot see in your post.

Should that solve your problem then I suggest to give intrigrant a star for a fast and accurate answer :)

Give a tech a solution and he will be back tomorrow to ask you the next question, teach a tech how to read the manual and he will be able to solve the problems for a life time.

Hey Hokie:

You post too many disparaging remarks, then ask for help, and it's time for you to stop that.

You've gotten a good deal of free support here, and since most of us make our living from the Avaya line, you're biting the hand that feeds you.

Hopefully he has IPOSS and Avaya has no clue at all what is going on :)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Thanks Intrigrant, you were dead on so far! Much appreciated!

I also upgraded VM Pro to 8.1.9102 and IP Office to 8.1.67 at all sites on the 28th which resolved DMTF issue over SCN.
