can anyone tell me on an option 51c and option 11 is there any things that should be checked from time to time or daily/weekly/hourly/monthly? In order to maintain optimal performance on this equipment.

Thanks.

look for trunks that are not getting any usage, ld 36, do a prt set 500 in load 117 and address all errors, do a ldis in load 32 and look for disables dig sets and take them out, take out unused routes, rans, acd groups, rli's not in use should go away, trim your software as clean as possible, it will make troubles much faster, do a lcnt in load 60 to make sure your t's are clean, look at the idc tables for hackers turning a non used did into a path back out of your switch, the same is to be said about any exten, acd dsc tsc or lsc that can reroute to an outside line. the 51 has filters that need to be cleaned monthly. i check for mailboxes that no one logs into for over 30 days, and exten's that are going to vm with no box (seer table).. any excuse me ANY trouble code that crosses your screen shoud be addressed, do a ld 137 stat cpu and a ld 135 stat to make sure those areas are clean. test conf tds cards, you don't have a standby side so that makes life easier. there are tons that i haven't covered but the best thing to do is grab the maint manual IO 3 of 3, in most cases and each day go through one load and see if there are test or stat commands that you can add to this list that pertain to your software/switch.. and do prt the cequ to see if it matches (ld 22) and check the ovly to see if it's got enough loads for your midnights, i add ld 43 60 135 137 30 34 36 38 44 45... if it's free i want them all, without 43 your sw only does a backup at midnight if it sees changes, unless it's on the list. ... and keep a spare back up disk/tape current. make sure you know where your software and keycodes are.. don't get caught looking for them when the switch has smoke comming out of it. it's not if it will go down, it's when, and it will always be at the worst possible time, when the board is closing in 30 minutes and the dow is down 205...
