Customer has 406 R2.1(78), voice mail lite, with PRI,external CSU/DSU, three 4400 series phones, 400+ ICR's, 200+ HG's. Older software allowed naming HG's with digits, which is significant, as they are a 24hr answering service(including Dr's offices, etc.) and it gets quite busy at times so they are parking calls often. On older software, call information remains displayed through out duration of call.
EXAMPLE:
I call in on xxx.946.1000. This points to HG labeled "2893 ABC Company", where the 2893 is significant for their call handling, tracking, etc. A phone in HG 1000 lifts the receiver and "2893 ABC Company" remains on the display through out the call.
When I put in the R5, this information disappears upon connection. I brought the system back with me to try to come up with a solution but I'm sucking air. I loaded compatible VM Pro to see if I could make it work via VM Pro's "Specific" tab but I can't seem to make the information remain on the display.
Does anyone know of any tricks to accomplish this? Thanks in advance, and all input is appreciated except for the posts that tell me to upgrade them to 8.1. This is the situation at hand and I have to come up with something with the 5.0, if possible.
