I have a report that has only two fields in the main report. There are 2 subreports attached in their own footers. The subreports refresh fine,but the main report doesn't always refresh. It usually takes three or four times of closing out the preview mode before it actually refreshes. This only started happening after I upgraded to version 8. It's really annoying. Anyone have any suggestions?

Check with your dba to determine that CR is passing the main reports SQL.
I've never heard of this so it may be user error. Check of the user has a subreport open and tries to refresh. If so, the only thing that would be refreshed would be that subreport, not the main report.
If they select the main report tab and then refresh, it should work fine.

Thanks for the help. I am the dba and I'm running the report. This problem doesn't occur all the time, it's rather random. As a rule, I always close all the report views down to the design level, then view and refresh from the main report. It works fine about half the time, the other half of the time it just refreshes everything except the main report. It's got me completely befuddled.
A couple of things you might want to check.
First, just as a matter of course, verify the database from the Database menu.
Second, go to the last option in the Report menu, and check that you don't have the radio button selected for some static date in the main report.

Thanks a lot for the help. Database has been verified and I don't have any static dates anywhere. It's wierd. It only happened when I upgraded to ver 8.5. The same reports. If I recreate the reports rather than just refresh the previous versions, they work fine. I just want to save about 2 days work to recreate each report. (I have about 38 formula fields in each report and 18 reports) If we figure out why the reports work fine in the previous version of crystal but crap out in 8.5, I'll consider you all gods. Thanks again!
