Hi all
Does anyone know how can i find that which one is main process of child processes on my system(Tru64).

For example i have job which process name is "xfile" and i also have "xfiles" processes with different id's and i have to find main process cause that use cpu a lot.

Thanks for help.

Regards.

Check the PPID column in "ps aux". This is the parent PID of the process on that line. You could also see the CPU column in the output, this shows the percentage of CPU time being spent on this process. By the way, I've not seen Tru64, this is in Digital UNIX. But I'm quite certain that these wouldn't have changed.
