Is it possible to network two bcm products so that when the main line rings, it hits a hunt group that includes members on two systems? I have a main office, and remote office. Main has BCM1000 4.0, and Remote site has BCM50 2.0. I have VOIP gateway trunk keycodes on each one quantiy 2 on the 50, and 4 on the 1000. I don't have MCDN, but would purchase it if I need it.

Thanks

I don't think you can build a hunt with DNs from 2 separate BCMs.

Might be you should consider letting main line to ring local sets( site A ) and remote IP sets ( site B) with a logical hunt group from site A BCM . You can then using IP trunking to direct call from/to remote IP sets at site B back to local sets at site B . Does all this make sense ?

This makes sense. I have a tough job ahead of me. My only fear is that if we use IP sets, and a call needs to be transfered locally, it will need a route, or similar. I would like to also know more about centralized voicemail. That may be a future need.

Some LEC can provide you a dual services depend on how far apart between 2 locations. It is getting hard to get this kind of services though but you can try .

Another option (and it's a little dirty) would be to place the main line on 2 phones at Site A forward one of those phones to your target at Site B which will make it ring also.

Strike that last suggestion. I just realized that won't either.

Sorry.

I tell ya noop Ive had this problem w one customer where I had a BCM 1000 and a BCM 50 linked together w VoIP trunks and the customer never told me that they wanted their main line to ring at the remote location until after the install was complete of coarse... I tried everything under the sun to get this to work with no luck, as a matter a fact the only way I was successful on getting the remote sites phones to ring after doing all kinds of Mcgyver type stuff was to simply call forward a phone at the main location to the remote location but when you do that the phones stop ringing at the main no matter what you try and twik I even tried to set up a i2050 and forwarded that just to try that also w no luck. I had to end up eating that BCM 50 and 10 T7316's and run IP2004's to fix this one sorry not much help but if someone finds out a work around I would love to know it.

I was thinking of an IP phone on the BCM1000 at the front desk and set it as an answer DN, or add it to the main line hunt group. I would then need a 7316 up there as well, so she could answer the main line at that office also? Thanks for the help, I am off to read the networking guide another time.
