Mailto with auto subject inserted

Is there any way that when a user clicks on a mailto link that they can automatically have a subject inserted?

Sorry I can't seem to get this to work. If I add what you have written here it just adds the ?thesubject part to the end of the e-mail address, but I want it in the subject box.

Try the following text:
mailto:name@server?subject='subjectText'

This is the syntax used in Director but i think it works as wall in a browser.
