I have been seeing a strange Mssg in Panther 10.3.3 — difficulty in recognising email links on web pages and the message “mailto: not recognised in OS X“. The mailto: tag is the standard one used in all websites for email links. Can anyone shed any light on this?

What browser(s) are you using?

Jeff C.

If all else fails, read the directions.
If that fails, REBOOT!

Safari 1.2 (which gives the error Mssg), OmniWeb 5 and OE5

BTW links recognised OK in Windows environment

I'm running 10.3.3 and Safari 1.2.1 - Haven't had any problems with mailto: links. Can you post a link with a mailto: that doesn't work in Safari?

I have overcome it. There was an issue with CSS and HTML styles competing and having got to all back to CSS the mailto: problem has resolved itself. No connection that I can think of but that’s the weay sometimes. Thanks for your input.
