i am trying to create an email through a web page (IE4)sends a link which includes a Parameter via URL. unfortunately it cuts the parameter off the hyperlink in outlook..
e.g.
mailto.......all i get in the email is
mailto.......the ID number is a variable passed from a previous page.

I have tried it in IE6 and it works fine. Unfortunately the users have IE4. Does anyone now a way round this?

Really would appreciate any suggestions.|-0 X-)

Hi,

Start reading this thread thread215-158245

In thought somewhere in this thread there is a link to anothre thread where you can find some other basics for this kind of problems,

Hope this helps,

Erik

I had a look at the thread. thanks
It's an intranet page, written in coldfusion, with a simple mailto in it, this is where i've got the problem. The clients are internet based using asp.
Is there a simple way of doing this in html? i've tried several ways to hide the ? but it still cuts off.

Thanks again

Man, if it's an intranet app, get them off of IE4...problem solved. Kevin
