Im using a simple proxy software(freeware) for our internet connection sharing. what should i do to send mails via my proxy server from my workstation?
I can authenticate & download mails from my isp via my proxy server on Windows2000 Server. i can ping my isp server. smtp & pop3 server are in one and the same server but when i send mail i get the error:
The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mozcom.com', Server: '202.47.132.18', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10065, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
(i use outlook express)
(i use ip instead the server name for the smtp & pop3 on my outlook express account settings. i get errors if i use server name.)

help please! :-(

Hi,

Let me see if i understood: You are using a email via proxy so you must configure your server's ip in pop3 and smtp server in your outlook express behind your win2k server and in your proxy must be configure to receive and send email.

Make it try.
