Mailing 8-bit chars

Hi,

Does anybody have a solution to mailing 8-bit chars?
I'm trying to mail (using mailx) the "£" symbol, but it does not reach its destination.

Is there a solution?

You can encode the email to base64 or uuencode or something similar.
