We have a Merlin Magix 2.0 and Merlin Messaging...
Callers are unable to leave voicemail messages, after the record beep sounds a message comes on saying "Sorry you cannot record now because the system is full" and kicks the user back into the menu prompts" This is not isolated to one extension but happening to all extensions, most of them with completely empty mailboxes! I was going to reset the messsaging module, but was wondering if anyone else out there has experienced this problem and what their solution was. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Another thing is that I can create a new mailbox but when it comes to recording a name for the mailbox I get the same error message, so it would seem that there is definately a storage problem going on.... reset?

How long has this system been used? It's possible that you have some unknown mailboxes that are actually full and using up the space, or, of course, it is goofed. Best thing is to look at the mailboxes with hyperterminal, and see if the configuration printour will reveal anything.

Thanks for the advice PepperZ, I did print out the setup configuration using print opt in standard SPM, everything looked ok under maintenance. I will look things over again carefully, might have been slightly blinded by frustration of looking for ghost vmailboxes! Thanks again...

I wasn't clear, sorry. Go directly to the MERLIN MESSAGING module with hyperterinal. At the prompt, login as sysadmin, with your "mailbox 0" password. You'll get a menu from the mail system. List out the configuration, and see if you have some stuffed mailboxes that can be emptied, or some mailboxes that can be deleted. Could you have exceeded the 200 malbox capacity?

Thanks for the advice, after viewing the mailbox stats I found that there were some mailboxes that needed attention. But they total space taken by these barely took up 1% of the 100 hrs. voice space and we are just using 54 of our 200 mailboxes. I cleared the remaining "clutter boxes" and found that I was able to leave a message. Less than 5 min. after that I tried again and received system full, all boxes. Clearly the module was stuck in loop... all avenues explored, I backed up and launched maint under wspm. I busied out the module and ran a test, it failed... I reset the messaging module. It's working fine now! I hope... Thanks again!
