Mailbox Size reporting incorrectly

We use mail limits on our Exchange 2003 server and users are getting the warning message that their mailbox is over the limit when they are not. System manager shows that mailbox is over the limit even when the user has deleted out all the mail.

Does anyone know of a fix for this?

The .ost on the users pc is corrupt.
Close outlook and remane the the .ost to .old and restart outlook.

How log did you wait? Mailbox information is cached for 2 hours by default. If you don't like the default, restart the IS and the imformation wil be reread. If this is a recurring problem, modify the defaults.

Thanks for that - We don't use OST files. I waited a day for the size to decrease but still shows incorrectly. This is also very random as some accounts are affected but others are not.
