Hi,
I'm migrating an Exchange 5.5 Server on an NT domain to an Exchange 2003 server on a new Windows 2003 domain. I have established trusts and migrated users and exchange directories to the new Exchange 2003 server but when I try
to export mailboxes I get the following error:
"Unable to log on to the server. Please verify the server name, port, account name and password"

I have all this information correct and I have tried changing the LDAP port on the 5.5 server to 390 but it still won't work.
I'm at a dead end at the moment can anyone help me?

Are you using the Exchange Servers Maintenance account or an Domain Admin account for the new exchange server setup?

I was using the Domain admin account on the NT domain, but changed it to Windows 2003 domain admin account which I had previously added to the NT domain and this worked when I changed the LDAP port back to 389.

I'm having other problems now when migrating the mailbox it comes up with errors as in Microsoft KB865507 but the fix listed in the article doesn't fix the problem.

Make sure you are using the Exhcnage System Account for the old server on the new. I dont think it is a port problem. It is most likely an account with no priveldges.
