we have one lawyer in our firm who when we direct calls to her voicemail, constantly gets mailbox full notifications. We have changed the class of service to increase mailbox size and message recording size but are still getting the error. any suggestions?

what mail? best is to make him a personal class of service and allow msgs even if he has reached his limit.. or just have him check his mail and clean it out

they have call pilot 150...she only has 6 messages in her voicemail box but we still can't put any through we took of her dnd and forward to voice mail & it is still not taking calls.

I would have her clean out the box, like John suggested then out it and rebuild it. Did you upgrade recently, by chance?

what is the total size of the 6 messages
you'll have to play with the COS values

the user had their alternate greeting on, instead of primary...changing it seemed to fix the problem.

does anyone know why that is?

There is a setting in the voice mail that will not record messages if the TAG is used. It basically works as a broadcast message at that point.

sounds hosed, as posted, out the box and put it back in. how has this affected other mb's with the same class? that should tell you if it's the system or just a box that's hung

CALL PILOT AND MERIDIAN MAIL BOTH HAVE WHAT IS CALLED MAIL BOX NEVER FULL FROM AND EXTERNAL CALL. INTERNAL CALLS WILL TELL THE CALLER THAT THE MAILBOX IS FULL AND NOT TAKING ANYMORE MESSAGES.
UNLESS THIS HAS BEEN CHANGED IN 3.0 CALL PILOT THAT'S THE WAY IT WORKS

Johnpoole and PerryPJ,

Maybe Call Pilot is different than Meridian Mail, but if you look at marieainey's post, she stated that once the user took off the TAG, it worked fine. In Meridian Mail there is a setting in each user's voicemail box called Disable Message Reception. The 3 settings are No, Yes, and Yes_if_Tag_Recorded. Her symptoms match the setting Yes_if_Tag_Recorded.

If you also look he said Callpilot 150, which as far as I know is Norstar, so it is a little different than our Callpilot and alot diff than MM.
