I just finished upgrading Veritas Backup Exec from version 8 to 8.5 with the free upgrade. I keep getting this error "WARNING: "Joe Smith [joes]?Top of Information Store?Inbox backup 080701?~Maitre-Poste ~IN?RE: Priorités de la semaine" is a corrupt file. This file cannot verify. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^" I've checked my user credentials and has been given both Enterprise and Domain Admin rights. The backup is able to backup the rest of the companies information without any complications.
I also keep getting a error message when I try to backup a remote server's System State, the error message states "Access denied to directory \System Files\C:\WINNT\Application Compatibility Scripts.
^ ^ ^ ^ ^
Unable to open the item System Files\C:\WINNT\Application Compatibility Scripts\ - skipped.
Access Denied. Can not backup directory \System Files\C:\WINNT\Application Compatibility Scripts and its subdirectories.
Unable to open the item System Files\C:\WINNT\AppPatch\SHCMN.DLL - skipped.
Access denied"

This is quite confusing due to the fact that all my other remote servers System State are able to be backed up except for this particular server. I have uninstalled the remote agent and reinstalled it, and have made sure that the login service has been granted to the correct user with Admin rights. I'm really confused and if anyone has this identical problem please get back to me whenever you can I would greatly appreciate it immensely.

)

It looks like you have 2 different problems here:
1)Il semble que monsieur Joe Smith a un virus dans son document intitule "Priorites de la semaine", and it's most likely, the file it's been quarentined. Thus, the message "file cannot verify".
2) Looks like your remote server is an application server and, therefore, some applications are being either used or left open at backup time. Some applics such as MS-SQL is known for that type of security.
