Hi everyone,

I try to make some useful rules on my UNIX(Sun Solaris) with messages in my root mailbox.I want to take specific mails from root mailbox and forward them to aliased groups.How can I edit my .mailrc or any other interested files? Or can some friend give a metod to me?

You can add aliases to your .mailrc file in the form:

alias NewAlias { Address... | PreviousAlias... }

..and you need to use the .forward file to send your email to a program or script you have explicitly designed to manage your rule set.

I would strongly advise that you do not use .forward in a root account, but use aliases to send roots email on to another account where you define your routing.
