Mail Notification

Hi,

I'm experiencing a really weird issue with the mail notifications. We're running the 9.1 vesion of Veritas Backup exec and Microsoft Exchange server 2k3. The Mail notification works fine for most of the days but then suddenly it doesn't send out any emails anymore.

However when I reboot the backup server or stop/restart the veritas services it well send out the emails again. Does anyone know what could cause this issue?

are you using a relay server. Also stop and start the smtp service

it appens every 6 month when we change from winter to summer time or reverse.

Unfortunatly I was experiencing these problems before any time changes were made. I tried both Mapi and Smtp but the problem keeps occuring from time to time.

Hello,

I've been told that this shouldn't happen anymore on V10, and it has happened to me. Veritas didn't wanted to provide a fix for V9x

Do you know if there is a fix for that. Every 6 months, in fact is quite often !

This would explain why I didnt get the emails the day after the clocks went back last week!!

I still have this issue even in version 10 SP3

It was supposed to be solved in version 10

Do you still have it?
