Mail not really there

Greetings and Salutations,

A couple of end users have complained that they get e-mail notifications and when they maximize their Outlook, there is nothing there. I did check to see if they had a rule setup and they didn't.

Any ideas or has anyone else had this problem?

Also, running Exchange 2k on server 2k with all service packs and patches.
