Mail Merge - Word to Access (Office 2000 on NT)

When trying to merge a Word document into an Access document
I get the following error message: Word could not establish a DDE conection to Microsoft Access to complete the current task.

Any suggetsion appreciated. I've reinstalled Office 2000 with all the 'extras' so no software should be missing. Ó¿Õ¬

Are you merging MSWord fields into a MSAccess or vice versa? Can you open the data source in MSWord to initiate the template in MSWord?
