I have been trying to do a mail merge with an excel worksheet and the columns formatted with currency and percentages do not merge with the same format. The percentages are rounding out, i.e. 6% showing .5999999, and the currency is not showing $ symbol. Can you help?

First create another coloumn that you can hide. Word XP will pick up hidden columns in excel.

If you have 6% in say cell a2, in the column you are going to hide place a formulae in b2 of =a2*100 and format this to general number formatting.

This should then allow you to bring accross the value "6"

Now insert your field into your doc then right click it and select edit field. In the subsequent dialogue box on the right hand side you should see a section where you can insert "text to be inserted after". Pop your percent symbol in there

PHEW! I'm off for a lie down

Hope it does the trick
