It seems that they MS has managed to take a task that has always worked and screw it up. Leave it to MS.
You used to be able to place fields in Mail Merge where ever you wanted and that's Exactly where they would print. Now it seems MS supersedes your placement with their own.
Here is how my internal address is printing
John Smith
1234 Deer Trail 104
Atlanta, GA 30303
If I put Address line 2 on the third line and the recipient doesn't have a 2nd address line it leaves a blank line. There used to be a box you could check to prevent this.
If I put Address line 2 onthe same line as Address line 1 I get a large amount of spaces between them.
And last but not least I cannot get the State to print close to the city.
Is there something I'm doing wrong?
OBTW, how do I get the current date to print automatically. Not those stupid instruction MS gives. You shold be able to place a keyword on the letter and it should be replaced by the current date (I know wishful thinking).
Thanx,
Trudye
