Mail Merge From Crystal? Please Help 1

Does CR 8.5 have the ability to insert data into the midst of large blocks of text (much larger than 255 char), sort of like Word's mail merge feature. I am trying to print contracts that have variable contents. Since not every contract gets every page, simply automating Word from VB will not work. I am wondering If I am missing something. I can't simply create a formula, because the results have to be less than 255 characters. Is there something else I can try?

You can insert fields into text objects, which don't have a length limit. Type the static text, and then insert the fields into the text. Ken Hamady, On-site/Phone Crystal Reports Training/Consulting

Can you give me a code sample please?

Would it look like this:

(double click on the text box)

"blah blah blah {adoRecordset.field1} blah blah"
