Mail in sequence

Hi.. is it possible to send an email to several readers, one after another? For example if i had a document that i wanted A, B & C to review and edit if needed. Can I send out my document in a Notes email to A first ,then B, C and then finally get the document back in my mail box. If it can be done, how?

We do something similar for a leave accounting system using a hierarchy, but if the three people are always the same then I think you could add hidden fields on the document for reviewer1, reveiwer2 and reviewer3 and add a button to the form so when the review is finished it mails the form to the next reviewer. It would take some time to figure it out exactly, but you would need to have the domino designer and be able to modify the form's design.

Hmm...thanks for the tip. Anyway, it appears I was mistaken. It's actually not a function of Notes but rather of Office suites eg. Lotus Smartsuite. I think it's called Teamreview or something similar. Cheers!

You can do this very easy. It is standard Notes functionality!

Create a Document Library (or even a discussion database) on your server and put your document for review in that one.

Choose "serialized review" as the review option. You can even set deadlines and what should happen if overdue!

No need to program anything. Out of the box!

Notes is designed to stop using e-mails by the way. The more you use Notes the less you will need e-mail.
