I have configured an SMTP virtual server on my exchange server. I have configured a smart host in Delivery-Advanced of the Virtual server properties. The smart host is one of my bridgehead servers (I have 2). Is it possible to specify more than one smart host in the SMTP virtual server?

I also have setup an SMTP connector with * address space. I've specified both my bridgehead servers on the General tab, and I'm using DNS to route(instead of forwarding to a smart host). My question is, do I even need to configure the SMTP virtual server when I have an SMTP connector installed? What are the consequences of not configuring the SMTP virtual server? Shouldn't all mail flow through the SMTP connector anyways?

The connector takes priority. Dan
