Due to a recent ISP change, I had to change the IP Address of my server..I got all the obvious IP references but mail is still getting bounced back to the sender when trying to send to me...anyone have any ideas??

"obvious IP references" is somewhat vague, so I apologize if I'm repeating what you've already looked at. Are you hosting DNS internally, or is it being handled by your ISP? Is the MX record correct for whoever's hosting it? Marc Creviere

I am hosting DNS myself and I recreated the mx record...

Besides e-mail, are outside people able to get to your domain (web, ping)? I assume that you also had to change the address of your DNS server, were they updated with Verisign or whoever the top-level is through? Marc Creviere

yes everything is changed and i can get to my web as well as others on this web server...my domain is the only one with mail..

Firewall config maybe? What errors are the messages being bounced back with? Marc Creviere

The domain 'tdshetler.com' is an invalid Internet domain name. Message was
undeliverable.
Message originally to:

but if i do nslookup through the net it comes up with right IP

How recent was this change, and can the people who are unable to send you e-mail get the correct addy out of an nslookup? Maybe there was a long TTL on the DNS entries and they're hitting the old IPs from their cache. Marc Creviere

no because even I can't send email and I am getting the right IP's for eveything...Anyway I can delete all this and start over again??

Don't delete...

Can you e-mail yourself from Outlook on the server?
Can you telnet and send mail in?

If this works try it from outside. If that works it is clearly MX record. If not let us know what fails and with what error. Dan
