I have migrated all of my users from Exchange 2k to Exchange 2k3 running on Windows 2k3e as a member server.

A few users have mapped other mailboxes to their outlook client. Previously they were able to view these mailboxes, like there current mailbox and say a webmaster account.

Now when they try to view the secondary account they receive an error, unable to view...

I have verified that the mailboxes in question have been moved over successfully. The mailboxes can be viewed from OWA but not from Outlook. The versions of Outlook are the latest and greatest with up to date patches.

I have attempted to create a brand new exchange account with these mailboxes and I still receive the same error.

I am pretty much stumped at this point. I have tried googling the problem as well as tech net. Nada.

Thanks in advance

Check the permissions on the secondary account.

If you're using Exchange sp2 make sure they have send as permission (this has now been removed by default for admins rather than enabled by default)... although since OWA works then everything should be fine.

Although some og the SIDs may have got a bit screwy

Try recreating the outlook profiles or even better get a user to log into a virgin machine and create a new profile and check that.

Anything in the exchange server logs?

I went through and attempted to open an additional maibox through Outlook, 2003 latest patches. I am able to see the user and like before once I try to view the folder I am unable to view it.

In outlook on a drop down menu it says outlook:00000000038b...

I looked in AD at the permissions for my account on her emailbox, I am a domain admin. All permissions are greyed out that are selected and I cannot change them. Full Mailbox access is set to Allow and Deny, check next to each.

For the mailbox store both checked
ReceiveAs Allow Deny
SendAs Allow Deny

These permissions are inherited but I could not figure out where from. I could stop inheritance, make changes, and then
reenable inherited permissions.

Where are these permissions inherited from? I am a member of the group that has full rights to Exchange.
