I'm trying to use line 807 as paging line.It is not in any pool or assigned to any extension. It was not renumbered to anything else.in fact I've tried to assign any line not in a pool and the system just beeps when I hit enter.
I have done this hundreds of times and never had a problem.
Any ideas would be appreciated

Pulling a print of the lines will tell you if it is in a pool. Maybe pull print of groups and see if it is assigned to a group.

I have seen this before, this is how I handle it. I would do a print on the "system setup", see if it already set up as a MOH line. if it is this will prevent you from using it there. The other thing that I found is that if it is assigned in the E911 tables, it will also prevent you from using it as a MOH or a Paging input. You will find the E911 settings under "lines and trunks". It has always been one of those things when I run across it. Good luck.

Thank You, I already printed everything I could related to this.To be sure about the pool I assigned 807 to a pool and it allowed me to do it,proving that it's not in another pool.after removing from the test pool I still coud not assign it to paging.I'll check the E911 tables and post what I find.Thank You

Well, the shotgun approach could be useful at this point.

Just do a print all and search through it with Word or something for 807.

Made sure that line 807 is not in the night or operator programming. I had it in the night program once and hade the same thing where I could not program it as the page port

It was assigned in night service.I thought I only had one ns operator but there were 2.Problem solved.
Thank you to all who responded.
