Hi all,
I have what's probably a pretty simple question for you guys. I have a Magix system that's being fed by 3 BRI's. My folks currently have three extensions that always ring at the same time that the receptionist's phone rings on incoming calls. They would like to add another extension to the group that rings on incoming however I'm not sure where to go here. I printed out the system report through SPM. It doesn't look like the ringning extensions are part of a pickup group or coverage. Any ideas greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Jay

The three phones probably have a primary cover button for the operator extension on them - set to immediate ring. So you could just program a primary cover button for the operator extension on the phone in question.

Thanks for the idea - that sounds perfect. Could you give me a little guidance as to how I'd go about setting that up?
Thanks!

Just go to the phone, press menu, programming, start, press a blank (unused) button, press list feature, coverage, primary, enter, enter the extension number of the operator phone, press enter.

I'm sorry to be showing my naivete here but the phone we want to program doesn't have a menu button (4406D+) Is there a way this can be done from the receptionist's phone?
Thanks!

Yes - assuming the phone has an unused, blank button - you can program it using centralized programming from the receptionist's phone. Just press menu, system programming, start, more, Cntr-Prg, Program Ext, enter the extension's number, enter, press the bottommost left button - which shoul be the 1st intercom button - and keep going up until you find a blank button - if you have one, press list feature, coverage, etc. - exit when finished.

-OR- Go to your 4406 phone, press INTERCOM - SPEAKER - #00 (Pound Zero Zero) and press a BLANK button, dial *40, and the Extesion number to cover, then press speaker again.

That should do it.
