I have 5 lines going to a Magix with a merlin messaging VM. if the far end party calls in and decides to hang up instead of following through with the AA, the calls do not disconnect. Ext. 300, the operators extension gets several hang up messages in the voice mail and several hang up transfer out of AA in a day and is getting really tired of answering the phone with nobody there. Is there a setting in the magix to keep this from happening or is there supposed to be a signal from the LEC that tells the magix to hang up. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Matt

Check to see that you have "reliable disconnect" set to yes. It would be under lines/trunks, TT/LS Disc, LS Disconnect - and choose Yes and press enter.

If the setting is already set to "Yes" - check with your provider if they can set reliable disconnect for each line/trunk. If these trunks are comming in off a channel bank or some other non-regular copper format - see if the provider can tweak the settings to provide a better disconnect signal (voltage drop).
