I have a client that has one of the daily weekly monthly Budget Suites locations. he offers only free local calling and no rebilling of any toll services. There are about 200 rooms using analog telephone sets and they all need voice mail and auto attendant.

Could a Magix support this environment and can the phone come with a MWI light or Stutter dial tone for Message Notification, I am trying to keep his costs down.

Max stations on a Magix is 200, including the VM ports (if you use a Merlin Messaging, it takes up 12, no matter how many are licensed)

The Magix will do a great job with this.

There is a Hotel/Motel mode just for this application.

However, bear in mind the TOTAL number of extensions can only be 200, and that would include Management type multi-button phones and Single Line sets for the rooms.

If you use Merlin Messaging, you can have a Single Line set with a MWL.

Are there special MWI line cards that I would need to use to light the lamps on the SLS?

This customer is a low end property and most times he actually makes the residents buy their own cheap single line analog set from Walmart so there will be no WMI on the phone.

With this in mind does the phone provide Stutter DT if picked up or even Out Calling message notification?

Avaya also made an MWI LED adapter for visual indication. They may be hard to find. The PEC is 3152-004, and it has a modular pigtail adapter cord. The last place I found those was United Communications several years ago. I think they are in New York somewhere. Avaya made a 2500 set that has the required MW indicator also.

is Stutter DT provided when the hander on an analog set is pickup? and can I use analog sets for the guest rooms?

I am sorry that was suppose to be "when the HANDSET on an analog set is picked up." That's what I get for trying to use my cell to post on this site.

If you have not yet read it, the Feature Reference document covers all this stuff with explanations and programming info and feature interactions. It is a great resource!
