Magix 4.0 "meet me page" 1

Hello All,

Does the Magix 4.0 system have a "Meet me page" feature? I have a customer that is upgrading from a Partner and they use the "meet me page" feature 50 times a day.

Please help!

Explain how it works currently on the Partner System.

Hi,

The Partner operation is:

1) User dials *70
2) Pages a team member, asking them to pickup the intercom, waits for them to pickup.
3) Intercom Button is flashing on all sets.
4) Team Member pick up Intercom line and "Meets" the waiting member.

The Magix can page to all phones via sa voice 799, but I don't have a test system to see if you can connect to the paging party by picking up one of the paged handsets. Maybe someone else can test this for you.

Can some test this for me? Maybe dialing 799 from sa Voice or *799 and let me know if it works.

I'm afraid MAGIX doesn't have that. You could do a "WORK AROUND" by using PICK UP to a Phantom Number. That would take some real engineering work, such as a 24 to 48 VDC Power unit connected to an available line port.

Then the caller could just tell the person being called (799) to pick up line XX.

Another way it could be done is to have the CALLER announce to the CALLED PARTY - "Call me on Extension xx", with XX being the caller's extension.
