I'm stumped on this one..

Magix 4.0 in the key mode, Merlin Messaging 2.5.
Mailbox has outcalling allowed to a phone, call list #1 2896324 (local number) straight out no "9".
4 port license card, all 4 ports are rotary and port 4 is unrestricted and has trunk port 802 assigned for outcalling and is set to "no ring".

I have a butt-set attached to the CO line (802)to hear it attempt the call-out, but it doesn't even try! Also the green light for port 4 stays on or idle. I'm in a LAB environment so there is no traffic in the Magix at this time.

Anyone have an idea what I'm missing here?

i also had problems with this calling out to certain cell phone providers. i had to put several "#" after the number in the outcalling number.

9 was tried..
Does the set up look complete to you?
If that port 4 tried to call out I would hear it on my butt-set speaker and see the green light on the card flicker. It's not even trying to make the call out.

Just found an old post by the Merlinman, he says you need to do an "auto line select" from Central prog" which tells my port 4 which line to call out on.

I'm testing it now..

That didn't help, it still won't call out.

Mike

What about the "auto line select" for port 4 in the Merlin Messaging. Do I select the intercom buttons first or the CO line I want to use for the Merlin Messaging to call out on?

Mike

Check the FRL on the voicemail ports and any other types of restrictions.

Restrictions are automatically placed on voice mail ports.

You're still going to need to dial 9 for an outside line, and you'll need a pause (*) after the 9 to allow for the dial tone to connect.

Set the ALS for Intercom, then the lines.

Bingo!!

Tommy,
I just found one of your old post in another
(A. LIST) forum,
The restriction and adding a couple ** after the 9 did it.
I kept looking for a place to change the FRL?

On a system in Key mode you only have to un-restrict. That did it..

JR2001,
Adding the 9 got me a step closer, thanks for posting..

Glad I could help a little. I forgot you were in key mode.
