I recently installed a 412 card in slot 7. After the initial power up all of the stations on the new card can call station to station, but when I dial 9 the call is denied. I get DT on 9 but when the first digit is disled is when the call is waved off. The existing stations work well and are unaffected. All the slots (1-6) are full. There is one Pri for 2 way did and 1 tie for LD (pool 70 and 490). This unit has been installed for many years and has worked fine. what I've done so far:
Verified inventory and the card is shown. Ran renum anyway. Verified ARS access (3). assigned dial out code 70 and still can't get out. Verified the extensions are in the dial plan. Changed numbers from default to DID Range. Also inbound calls can't complete. It seems like a port issue rather than a number problem. Has anyone seen this before?
No one that I've talked to have seen this one.

When you added the extra carrier and 412TDL you also added 4 more analog ports to the system. Do a print all of trunk information to see where those extra analog ports ended up. They may be screwing up your PRI trunks - as currently set.

Thanks for the input. This is a toughie. It just added 4 more ports at the end. I forget the 8xx numbers. The pri seems to be working as normal for stations on the other station cards in cabinet 1 (with my new card in 7). Those are a 412 in slot 2 and an 024 in slot 3. I'm wondering about a back plane problem or a bad card. But the biggest confusion factor is that the stations work station to station. I will reverify that on Monday.
Thanks again.

When you say you assigned dial code 70 - what do you mean?? If you assigned dial code 70 to the new extentions - then dialing 9 for outside dial will not work on those extentions. The only time I assign dial codes to extentions is when you have two totally seperate companies using the same switch - and you do not want them able to pick up each other's lines/pools. The default dial out code (9) - accesses pool 70 and or whatever is setup in ARS.

That was just for a test to see if I could get to the trunks. It didn't work either. When I dialed 70 I got DT, but couldn't complete either. Probaly because 70 is pri and can't be accessed directly. An out code bypasses the D-channel signalling?
Keep in mind existing stations work fine.
Thanks for the input

70 as a dial-out code to PRI trunks will work fine (as opposed to the *03 trunk test code, which will not work with PRI). Allow it to one of the stations on the 1st cabinet, and confirm that it is good that way.

The "dial-tone" that you hear when dialing 9 is generated by the Magix, while it is looking at what you are dialing and deciding if it is going to allow your call.

Do a print on a station on the new card. Check for restrictions, or ARS levels, or Forced Account Code, etc.

In Maintaince, busy out the slot, reset it, and restore it.

Swap your new module with slot 2 as a test. IF you still have the issue on the same stations THEN figure out the software problems. lg

Ok guys it's solved. Tommy yours was the closest. Your comments prompted a stare and compare and I found the problem in the Night service area. And I was always working after hours. The switch was set up for no out calls except those on the excluded list which had all the stations on the existing boards listed. And the renum didn't add them, so it has to be a manual translation. The new stations work fine during the day so I will stop by and add them to the list.

Thanks to all. It had me stumped
