Hello
I am trying to connect a Mac to a Win2K domain (with Active Directory). The server has Services for Mac installed. I can connect to the server, but the only folder I get is a Microsoft UAM Volumn. Does anyone know how to connect to the files that I'm sharing on the server?

Thanks

From what I remember you can't modify current shares to be accessible from MACs. What you need to do is go to "Computer Management" and create a new share. Shared Folder > Right click Shares > New File Share...Browse to the folder you want to share. Be sure to check the box at the bottom that allows the folder to be accessible to Macs.

I may be wrong about being able to modify current shares but hopefully someone else will know.

Thanks..I can see the folder from the MAC, but it's grayed out. Won't allow me to access it.

In comp management, go to shares and you should see a share point for the Mac. Check the custom permissions and make sure access rights are right. You need the share perms and the access rights to tally.

It works for me...
