We are having problems saving a file using excel 97 on a 2000 box. It was created using excel 97 on a NT4 box along with some macros. On the original (NT4) box you can list the macros on the 2000 box you can't list the macros. Does anyone know if there is any issues between NT4 and 2000 when it comes to macros. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

In this case, Operating system doesn't mean diddly. Are both PCs running Excel 97? If NOT, we have a chance, LOL.

In the new PC, presumably running Excel 2000, the new settings for macros is (I think) by default, not to allow macros to run. Hence, if that's the setting, you won't even be ASKED if you want macros to run. In Excel, you'll need to go to Tools-Macros-Security and put it on Medium if you want to be asked about macros and be able to choose whether to run them or not. High doesn't run them and doesn't even ask if you want to. Low allows them to run and doesn't ask you (which is how your Excel 97 machine appears to be set).

Hope this helps. dreamboat@nni.com
