Can a button be used on a webpage which executes a macro when pressed?

I want to be able to be able to push information into an access database based on the specific button which is pressed.

In web pages they are called scripts.

Depending on what programming language you use to do this the specifics will vary, but its certainly possible.

PHP, ASP, ColdFusion etc...

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

how about html or xhtml? can you give me an example of what how the code would look like?

thanks

No sorry, HTML is a static language, not a scripting one. So it can not interact with a Database on its own.

That why there are programming languages such as PHP or ASP that do that kind of stuff, and then return the results to HTML for display.
