Hi everyone!
I use NT4 workstation and office97 and have a problem:
simple user (reaod only permission to the dirs) cannot run a macro.. There is _object access denied_ message, when I try to run a macro. If i'm logged as admin - there is ok.
Where is there a problem??
I haven't 'full version' installed and only selected components, but there were no problem during the install.
What should I do to make simple user able to run macros?
(dir 'Microsoft Shared' -> change pemission doesn't work)

Please, help!

No, it isn't about any needs for purpose.
I said: when i'm logged as admin, everything is OK.
When i'm logged as simple user - there is a problem.

HELP!!

Yes, I have rights to write. I tried give users write permission to dir "Microsoft Shared", even "Common Files" but it didn't work.

What does the macro do?

A program is a spell cast over a computer, turning input into error messages.

I am having the same problem running Excel 97 on Windows XP.

If a user is in Administrator Group, they can open the file, if a user is in User Group they cannot.

I had a sort of similar problem with the user group not being able to do spelling and grammer work on Word 97 on XP. The solution to this was a registry hack (257643) but I have had no luck finding similar at Microsoft. Can anyone help.
