I am unable to get the MDE or ACCDE's to run with the Access runtime. They start up but the VBA and macros won't work. How do I make these run with out the error ?

Have you placed these in a trusted location?

How do I place this in a trusted location or find one?

I normally write Ms Access applications for work, so I have never come across this issue since everything is on a shared drive.

I recently purchased 2007 for home use and installed the runtime on a 2nd computer at home and came across this problem.

Thanks

Steve

Steve, if you open the database, you will see the line
"Certain content in the database has been disabled OPTIONS"

Click the Options

In the lower left corner you will see a link to
"Open the Trust Center"

Click that

In the left column click

Trusted Locations

That will take you to a place you can enter the path to the database. Any databases opened from that path will have the funtionality you need.

Thanks Paul,

Will this also be true for the 2007 Runtime on the 2nd machine ?

If so is there a way to set this when I place the DB on the 2nd machine that only has the runtime ?

Sorry, I don't have runtime on my machine so I can't tell you.

Problem solved, I installed the developer extensions and all issues have gone away.

Have a Great Day !!

Hi Steve

Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately your very cool fish icon grabs my attention so much it took me twice as long to read your posts. (They appear several times on the page one for each post of course)

Could you perhaps substitute a static icon to help other readers?

Thanks
