hi experts,

just want to ask if you can suggest how to do a macro (or if you have a sample macro) that will get data in a word document(like a name or an address) and paste it to excel. appreciate your help :)

thanks!

Hi,

I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do, however, to me it doesn't quite seem as simple as you are talking.

Do you have fields defined in the word document to hold the name and address or is it just free text. If it's just free text, you have no way of defining the actual name or address length.

Can you expand what you need a little pls.

Thanks

Fitz

1. what is the structure of data in your Word document?

2. why wouldn't you use either VBA in Word or Excel to code an run this process?
